18 Weeks and Counting

So last night the Hubby and I where watching TV and I got up to get some cereal, because that's my nightly ritual these days and he looks at me and says" WOW- Your belly is really getting big!" I started laughing because it was very out of nowhere and it was like it just occured to him that my widening waist was more than over eating! So here I am 18 weeks and getting bigger every day. It is so strange to me still that there is a little boy inside of me and he is going to be here in just a few months. So strange. For you lucky ones that are out there when does it sink it? Or does it seem strange until you see the little buddle of joy? Just curious I am kind of out here on my own. None of my friends have children so I am taking this little adventure all on my own, so its a little like treading in unknown water. But everything is going to be fine I have no doubt. Also I am super excited because I finally talked the Hubby into taking pics for a Christmas card. I figured when would there be a better time we are newleyweds and our first baby is on the way, so YAY! Mind you this is a big feat because he does not like taking pictures- I love it, both behind the camera and in front lol! If you ever saw my house you would understand! So I am hoping I can find something to wear that looks half way cute and let Shannon do her magic! But I suppose I should be doing something right now a little more productive then blogging ( though I love it) So off I go to do some dishes! Have a fabalous day!

It's a ....

BOY!!!!!!!!! I went in on Wednesday to find out what this things growing inside of me was and its a little boy! I am so happy and of course my football coach of a husband is completley beside himself. So now its down to picking a name ( which will be soooo hard for us) and decorating the nursery ( which will be lots of fun for me)! But I am so happy and can't wait to welcome our sweet baby boy into the world on March 25th 2009 ( or around then anyways)!

Car Shopping Today!

Yup we are going car shopping today! The Hubby and I decided we are going to need a little more room for when the baby comes so today is the day! I am super excited, but a little nervous about the whole thing. Sometimes those sales people are way to pushy, but I've done my research and know what we want so here goes nothing! Wish us luck!

It's October!!

It is now officially October and you know what that means.... Halloween!!!!!! I am so excited. Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays! Its just so much fun to dress up! This is posing a bit of a challenge. Most the women costumes are "Sexy" this or "Little" that and I will be almost five months pregnant on Halloween so needless to say I won't be able to dress like I typically would. So I started searching for a costume yesterday and found a few that I liked. The Fairy is a bit girly for me but I still think that it is cute. The pirate is way more me but I just can't decide. If I could talk my amazing Hubby into deckin himself out in yellow-gold running shorts I would love to go as Juno and Paulie. I absolutely love this movie and if you have not seen it please do, it is so funny. I could watch it over and over if I had the time. Sorry! I am getting off track. The issue at hand is deciding on a costume, I am very picky about this kind of stuff and I'm just not sure if I like these enough. I am posting the pics pf the three I like the most and would love any input you have. I might be picky but I am also indecisive. If that even makes sense! LOL!

Option # 1- The FairyOption # 2 A Pirate

And this might be my favorite if I can talk the Hubby into these short shorts! LOL

Missin' My Friends

I miss my friends terribly. I know very general statement but a heartfelt one. Since RD and I have lived out here and by out here I mean and hour and twenty minutes from our closest friends its been a bit hard on me. One thing I like to pride myself on is treating my friends like family, since I don't have much family it has always seemed right to me. One of my dearest, who is the furthest away, friends Cassie Jo is all the way down in Corpus Cristi with her wonderful hubby Jake. She is a traveling nurse and is out on assignment. I miss them terribly. Cas was my right hand lady for all of the wedding prep and day of festivities, she is just truly amazing. My Autumn is all up in Tulsa and Sara Bear is in Edmond, not to mention Ashley and Alyssa and Kym. Geez! I have never been this far away from my ladies before and I think the prego hormones are starting to get the best of me. I know distance shouldn't matter when it comes to your relationships but it is hard not being able to see my dearest and best friends whenever I want. I am very thankful to be blessed with people this wonderful in my life and I pray for them all when I say my prayers. I think maybe it may be time for a few phone calls, bridge the gap a bit. I'm off to call my best friends, you should to, just to say hi!

New to the Game

So I must confess I love reading other peoples blogs. I think it is an interesting view into their lives, very open and candid which I think is very brave. So I decided it was time for me to come out of the closet so to speak and let people have a little peak into my life. Now I must warn there will not be lots of exciting things, because frankly I don't have tons going on, but I am okay with that. My life was very fast paced since I was 18 and moved out on my own and to be honest it is quite nice to just relax with the husband and not worry about the world that is going on outside my doorstep. Now my days consist of working as a head start teacher ( so exciting let me tell you) and trying to get a hang of this wife thing! Also I suppose the one exciting thing that is going on is the bun in the oven! So I am sure on Dr. Appt days there will be blogs full of exlcamation marks and captiol letters, so the feeling of excitment will radiate off the computer screen and into your life. Well as I enter into this new game of letting you know a little about me and my daily life I hope that maybe something I say will strike you and make you smile.
