Missin' My Friends

I miss my friends terribly. I know very general statement but a heartfelt one. Since RD and I have lived out here and by out here I mean and hour and twenty minutes from our closest friends its been a bit hard on me. One thing I like to pride myself on is treating my friends like family, since I don't have much family it has always seemed right to me. One of my dearest, who is the furthest away, friends Cassie Jo is all the way down in Corpus Cristi with her wonderful hubby Jake. She is a traveling nurse and is out on assignment. I miss them terribly. Cas was my right hand lady for all of the wedding prep and day of festivities, she is just truly amazing. My Autumn is all up in Tulsa and Sara Bear is in Edmond, not to mention Ashley and Alyssa and Kym. Geez! I have never been this far away from my ladies before and I think the prego hormones are starting to get the best of me. I know distance shouldn't matter when it comes to your relationships but it is hard not being able to see my dearest and best friends whenever I want. I am very thankful to be blessed with people this wonderful in my life and I pray for them all when I say my prayers. I think maybe it may be time for a few phone calls, bridge the gap a bit. I'm off to call my best friends, you should to, just to say hi!

New to the Game

So I must confess I love reading other peoples blogs. I think it is an interesting view into their lives, very open and candid which I think is very brave. So I decided it was time for me to come out of the closet so to speak and let people have a little peak into my life. Now I must warn there will not be lots of exciting things, because frankly I don't have tons going on, but I am okay with that. My life was very fast paced since I was 18 and moved out on my own and to be honest it is quite nice to just relax with the husband and not worry about the world that is going on outside my doorstep. Now my days consist of working as a head start teacher ( so exciting let me tell you) and trying to get a hang of this wife thing! Also I suppose the one exciting thing that is going on is the bun in the oven! So I am sure on Dr. Appt days there will be blogs full of exlcamation marks and captiol letters, so the feeling of excitment will radiate off the computer screen and into your life. Well as I enter into this new game of letting you know a little about me and my daily life I hope that maybe something I say will strike you and make you smile.
